Position Overview: We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate NEMT Drivers to join our team in Southwest Florida. The NEMT Driver will play a crucial role in providing safe and comfortable transportation for individuals with medical needs, including elderly patients, individuals with disabilities, and those with limited mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely transport individuals to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, therapy sessions, and other healthcare-related destinations in a timely manner.
2. Provide assistance to passengers as needed, including boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, securing mobility aids, and ensuring passenger comfort throughout the journey.
3. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle at all times, including regular cleaning and sanitization protocols to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
4. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle, including safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
5. Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, pick-up and drop-off times, and any special instructions provided by passengers or healthcare providers.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare providers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times, address any scheduling changes, and ensure smooth transportation logistics.
7. Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when interacting with passengers, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
8. Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
2. Previous experience in transportation services, particularly in a healthcare or NEMT setting, is preferred but not required.
3. Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and healthcare professionals.
5. Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to assist individuals with medical needs.
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
7. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
